Economic impact: The Cabot generates an estimated $10 million per year for surrounding North Shore communities. This activity provides stability that allows creatives and entrepreneurs around us to take risks that enrich our quality of life on the North Shore.
Charitable impact: From our young filmmakers program, $1 movies and free events, to giveaway tickets for Veterans and low income families, we are a leader in providing community access to the arts. -
You want to be as close to the stage as possible, or have the best line of sight, or perfect acoustics, or simply extra leg room. While we’re proud to say there’s no ‘bad seat’ in our 850-seat theater, our members know their favorite spots because they get to buy tickets first.
The Insider level and above membership levels get 48-hour presale access before the general public, and our Icon level gets even earlier alerts with concierge ticket service.

We give away over 1,000 free tickets to members every year so you can say “why not?” and discover a new comedian, musician, or performer who rocks your soul. Every month also features affordable shows for tribute bands (the joy of nostalgia!) and diverse emerging artists.

This theater has been a center of community for 104 years and counting. We could have been demolished or converted into condos, but we keep the memory of the magic company, the Golden Age of Film, and more alive every time we open our doors.

Which membership level is right for you?
ALL membership levels grant you access to our ‘secret’ member-only shows. *PLEASE NOTE* Just like other shows, the Insider (Turquoise) level and above get to buy tickets two days earlier.
Budget-friendly
As part of our commitment to economic accessibility, our Fan (Silver) membership level is just $5/month or $60/year. You’ll get free movie tickets when you sign up, access to our ongoing ticket giveaways, and free special event invitations.
PLEASE NOTE: This level does not include presale access. If you want to buy tickets early, you’ll want to join at the Insider (Turquoise) level or above.
Get presale access
Our $175 Insider (Turquoise) membership grants you 48-hour presale access to Cabot shows all year long. That means you get the first opportunity to scoop up the best seats in the house before they go on sale to the public.
For young families
Got kiddos at home? Take advantage of our Families membership ($200). You get all the Insider level benefits, plus free tickets to our Kids at The Cabot series and 20% off all other family-friendly shows.
Kids at The Cabot shows happen monthly on a Saturday morning from October to April. These shows feature talented musicians spreading messages of joy, self-expression, and multiculturalism to the next generation! Toddler to early elementary is the ideal age. Learn more >>
Free ticket exchange + unlimited movies
When you become a VIP (Ruby) member ($500), you get no-fee ticket exchange privileges. Bought tickets but can’t make the show? Up to one week before the event you can return your tickets for a credit.
VIP is also the perfect level for movie lovers: you get free tickets to an unlimited number of movies all year! We screen a variety of films from music documentaries and brand-new blockbusters to classic and art house films.
The VIP level also gets access to giveaway tickets for bigger name acts, and recognition on screen before every movie and on our website.
Concierge + opera box seats
The Icon (Onyx) level is for the ultimate supporter and ‘ticket snob’ ($1000). You get concierge ticketing over phone, email, and text and 8-16 free opera box tickets during your membership year.*
Once used for stage lights by the magic show, the renovated opera boxes offer a live show experience like no other—they are reserved exclusively for sponsors and Icon members. *based on availability per show.
Dual memberships
Dual memberships make two people official Cabot members. Perfect for couples, or sharing with a family member. You both can log in online for presale, and both use your free movie passes online. You also get double the number of guests for all our special events, and double the number of movie and popcorn passes.

Giving a gift?
Do you want to give a Cabot membership as a gift? 🎁 Click below and choose the name of the membership in the “gift” dropdown.
All membership levels include:
- Access to our ‘secret’ members-only shows (Insider level and above get to buy first).
- Free tickets through our ongoing giveaways, announced via email at least every other month. Shows have included Dionne Warwick, The Wood Brothers, The Wailers, Colin Quinn and dozens more talented headliners.
- Free invitations to special events that include annual traditions like our Oscar-watching party and kicking off summer with a Jaws screening party.
- Can’t make a show? All members can convert a ticket purchase into a tax-deductible donation up to 3 days before the show.

- Concierge ticketing: Choose your ideal seats with our help (members must have a card on file for concierge ticketing service).
Single Icon level can reserve 4 tickets per show via concierge; Dual Icon can reserve 8. PLEASE NOTE: Some big marquee acts, and special events like Big Night and ‘secret’ members-only shows may have additional limitations.

No. Because membership includes benefits with monetary value (movie, popcorn, concert tickets), it is only partially tax deductible and cannot be paid with a DAF. If you have questions about tax-deductibility please reach out to membership@thecabot.org

If you choose a single membership, the number of movie and popcorn passes are fewer, and a second person cannot get member email notifications. However, you will be able to buy enough tickets to share and you can always bring a guest to member events. Reach out to membership@thecabot.org with any questions.

Our Icon members get 8 free opera box tickets a year. These seats are never for sale in the online seating chart; you must reach out to membership@thecabot.org to make your request. As soon as you see a show of interest, reach out via email. Please note that the opera box benefit is not available for our annual Big Night fundraiser or our ‘secret’ members-only show.

Yes, for the annual fees! We know you’ll love being in our community, so we confidently invite you to set up your membership on auto renewal, but if you uncheck that box before check out, your membership will expire in 1 year without being automatically renewed. Please note: the $5/month option for the Fan level is an exception and the system does require you to check out with auto renew on.
