Symphony by the Sea concludes its season on a high note with "Heroic Imagination," featuring rising star violinist Keila Wakao.
This concert takes place on Sunday, May 5th at 3 PM at The Cabot in Beverly, Massachusetts.
Having won the prestigious 2023-2024 BSO Concerto Competition, she’ll be making her debut at the Boston Symphony Orchestra’s Opening Night Gala concert this September.
The “Heroic Imagination” program features two beloved orchestral works:
- Mendelssohn’s Symphony No. 3 “Scottish” will transport audiences on a musical journey through the evocative landscapes of Scotland.
- Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto, a masterpiece known for its lyrical melodies, expressive solos, and a dazzling finale, will showcase Wakao’s virtuosity.
