In Focus youth filmmaking at the Cabot; a program to educate and inspire students to step behind-the-lens and create their own films! This is an after school program for kids ages 10-15.

All are welcome, regardless of ability to pay and full scholarships are available.

The goal of the program is to introduce and develop the skills in students to capture their emotions through storytelling. We focus on teaching fundamentals of film, hands-on activities, and self-expression. The program is dedicated to providing equal access to media and movie creation for all students on the North Shore, regardless of background or economic status.

In Focus – Afterschool with Beverly Middle School

A youth media program running at Beverly Middle School for students ages 10-12, after school on Mondays & Wednesday 3:15 PM to 5:15 PM. The program runs February 27th to May 31st.

Students who join the program will  learn storytelling, working with DSLR cameras, and editing in Adobe Premiere.

In Focus – Afterschool Teens

A youth media program running at The Cabot Theater  for students ages 13-15, after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM. The program runs February 28th to June 1st.

Students will focus on building more advanced filmmaking skills; VFX, scriptwriting, sound design, and more advanced Adobe techniques.

The program is $450 dollars for the semester but full scholarships are available by contacting [email protected]. If you are interested in signing up your child, please register below.

In Focus – Summer Classes

Cabot In Focus youth program is hosting two summer courses for middle schoolers on the North Shore. Two 3 Week groups focused on teaching youth photography, video, and professional movie production techniques.

July classes will be ages 10 – 12
August classes will be ages 13 – 15
