In Focus youth filmmaking at the Cabot; a program to educate and inspire students, ages 11-13, to step behind-the-lens and create their own films!
The goal of the program is to introduce and develop the skills in students to capture their emotions through storytelling. We focus on teaching fundamentals of film, hands-on activities, and self-expression. The program is dedicated to providing equal access to media and movie creation for all students on the North Shore, regardless of background or economic status.
In Focus – Summer Classes
Cabot In Focus youth program is hosting two summer courses for middle schoolers on the North Shore. Two 3 Week groups focused on teaching youth photography, video, and professional movie production techniques. Classes are booked through Beverly Parks and Recreation department, each class is $299 plus $15 registration fee for Beverly Parks & Rec.

Lights, Camera, Action! : Introductions to cameras, movie making and storytelling, in this three week class. Learn to create your own short films and your own version of Hollywood movies.

In Focus – Afterschool Group
A youth media program running after school on Mondays & Wednesday 3:30PM-5:30PM.
The program is a free after school program dedicated to providing equal access to media and movie creation for all students on the North Shore. Applications will be accepted until the program is full with priority given to students from lower income households.
