To benefit The Women’s Fund of Essex County

In a very special, fun, and one night only show, vocalists Jacyn Tremblay and Lauren Rhoades alongside guitarist Scott Tarulli, pianist Zahili Gonzalez-Zamora, and vocalist/percussionist Zayra Pola will guide you on a musical journey through the decades in an exploration of some of the very best female voices and songwriters in the pop canon. Net proceeds from the event to benefit The Women’s Fund of Essex County.

Jacyn Tremblay

Jacyn Tremblay is a singer, songwriter, and recording artist inspired by the stylings of artists such as Whitney Houston, Pink, Brandi Carlile, and Kelly Clarkson. 

She currently performs throughout New England with the band Beantown. In her spare time she also writes original music. Other musical credits include single releases on Universal/Motown Records in the pop/r&b vocal group Jada, pop/rock singles with Venus Mars Project, performing as a regularly featured soloist with the Hillyer Festival Orchestra and most recently with Trumpet virtuoso Jay Daly and the BBQ Brass and with the The Portsmouth Symphony Orchestra. Her most recent musical release “When The Tree Goes Up” written by Joey Nicotera- debuted on all digital music platforms this past December.

Lauren Rhoades

Lauren is a recording artist, songwriter, session and demo singer, and vocal and artist development coach with 20+ years of experience in the music industry. She was a founding member of JADA, the dynamic Boston-based pop/ R&B girl group, which signed with major recording label Universal/Motown Records, collaborated with iconic producers and artists, and performed for large audiences on a nationwide basis. She has continued her passion for music as a Senior Vocal and Artist Development coach at Bristol Entertainment in Boston, MA, while also working on many independent creative projects including collaborations with music producers through Berklee College of Music and Quark Music Group resulting in several charting dance records.

Scott Tarulli

Aside from spending time as a busy Boston local sideman and touring artist, Scott performs live and records with players like Jerry Marotta, Tony Levin, Mark Egan, Ira Coleman, Nile Rodgers, Steve Gadd, Abe Laboriel, The Temptations, Bernard Purdie, Chuck Rainey, Peter Eldridge, and Guthrie Govan, to name a few.

Scott is also a Professor of guitar at the renowned Berklee College of Music in Boston where he teaches private students and professional guitar labs.

Zahili Gonzalez-Zamora

Zahili Gonzalez-Zamora’s musical journey has led her from her native land of Cuba to Canada, Southeast Asia, and currently to Boston, MA. A graduate of Berklee College of Music, summa cum laude, with a dual-degree in Jazz Composition and Jazz Piano Performance; her rich musical background, career experience, and extraordinary improvisation skills render her a leader in modern Latin jazz. Zahili’s newly released album has thus far advanced in the world of Jazz, adding to her accolades two nominations to the Boston Music Awards, 2018 & 2019, under the Jazz Group category, and a finalist place at the DC Jazz Prix Competition, in Washington DC. Other accomplishments as a composer include, the Duke Ellington and the Wayne Shorter Awards for her outstanding creativity and musicianship, and the 40th annual Downbeat music award, 2017, under the Outstanding Performance category.

In addition to composing and playing piano in her original group MIXCLA, Zahili is also the keyboard player for the band Beantown.

Zayra Pola

Zayra Pola was born in Bayamón, Puerto Rico. Puerto Rican American singer and percussionist was given the birth name as Zayra Marie Ocasio Espinosa. Zayra is the granddaughter of a well known folkloric Puerto Rican guitar player Polo Ocasio and one of her professors named her ‘’Pola” in honor of her grandfather. Some of her fans have labeled her as ‘’La Reina del Timbal’’ (The queen of Timbales) since her outstanding performance in the ‘’Salsa Festival honoring a ‘’La Fania’’ in 2009 (Fania’s tribute, 2009).

Graduated with a full scholarship from Berklee College of Music located in Boston, class of 2013, Zayra Pola made it to the Dean’s List during her entire journey at Berklee. Zayra has had the honor to perform with several well-known artists and bands such as Gilberto Santarosa, Cheo Feliciano, Pedro Capo, Giovanny Hidalgo, Vico C, Annie Lennox among several others. In 2015, Zayra received the Best Timbales Player of the Year from the New England Salsa Music Awards. In 2017, she was awarded as the Salsa Singer of the year (being the only woman in the contest to receive this award) from the Latin Boston USA Awards. In 2016, Zayra started to produce 3NITY @Zayra Pola, the first Latin female band in the Boston area. Her band empowers female talent since the music industry has the reputation of being “dominated by men”.
