The Cabot has partnered with our friends at Magnolia Pictures to bring you LIFE ITSELF available for virtual screening. The revenue from your rental of this film goes directly to help support The Cabot and helps cover operating costs for the theater while we are shut down during these unprecedented times.

Click the “BUY TICKETS” button to rent the movie. Renters will also have access to a live Q&A on Wednesday 5/27 at 8PM ET and can submit questions in advance via email to [email protected]magpictures.com. Q&A will be held with Chaz Ebert in conversation with director Steve James with a portion of ticket sales donated to Cinema Worker Solidarity Fund. The Q&A will be accessed directly through the page where you rent the film.

We are sorry that Cabot movie passes and member benefits cannot be used for virtually screened movies.

Virtual cinema offerings can be enjoyed on your computer or tablet, but you can also connect your computer to your TV for a larger screen experience! Not sure how to do that? Here’s a resource we found on the web that can show you how: click here.

Acclaimed director Steve James (Hoop Dreams) and executive producers Martin Scorsese (The Departed) and Steven Zaillian (Moneyball) present LIFE ITSELF, a documentary film that recounts the inspiring and entertaining life of world-renowned film critic and social commentator Roger Ebert – a story that is by turns personal, funny, painful, and transcendent. Based on his bestselling memoir of the same name, LIFE ITSELF explores the legacy of Roger Ebert’s life, from his Pulitzer Prize-winning film criticism at the Chicago Sun-Times to becoming one of the most influential cultural voices in America.
