Back by popular demand is the film that packed The Cabot earlier this year! The evening will include a Q&A with the filmmakers after the film followed by a sets with The Nervous Eaters and Unnatural Axe.
In Boston, the middle of the 1970s “Me Decade” saw a bunch of young, loud and snotty bands–inspired by ’60s garage rock pioneers like Willie “Loco” Alexander–playing raw, original rock and roll. The Real Kids, Nervous Eaters, DMZ and The Neighborhoods (as well as Alexander’s own Boom Boom Band) were known for their amazing live performances and an unwavering commitment to honest, hard-driving music. This is their story, recounted by surviving band members, as well as people who were on the scene like Denis Leary, Jonathan Richman, producers Rick Harte, Andy Paley, Bruce Dickinson and more. “Boys From Nowhere” celebrates the transcendent power of rock and roll!
