Ants on a Log presents a family-friendly concert full of LOVE– love songs to our dogs, love songs for the biggest sandwiches, and of course, loving serenades for forgetful Dads who lose their hats. Join the folky duo in celebrating love of silliness, love of being yourself, and love of music! The Ants’ harmonies and rhythmic play are a delight for children (and grown children!) of all ages.
Ants on a Log is Julie Beth and Anya Rose. The folk duo writes music for children and other childlike people, songfully advocating for positivity, social justice, and silliness. Ants concerts are full of surprising and joyful moments, interactive singing, jump roping, drumming, and improv. Audiences of all ages will delight as everyday household objects become percussion instruments. In their off-stage lives, Julie is a music therapist and Anya is an elementary science teacher. Their powers combined make for smart and socially conscious folk full of harmony and humor. Their clever lyrics and rhythmic play are a delight for children (and grown children!) of all ages.
“The Ants pull off the impossible: kids’ music that is smart, challenging and fun, political but not preachy, catchy and appealing to adults.” – Rodney Whittenberg, Emmy-award winning producer at Melodyvision
