Summer Family Fun Nights at The Cabot: The Iron Giant!
THIS WEEK ONLY our Summer Family Fun Nights screening will be at 7:30 pm, not at the usual 7:00 pm start time. But it’s worth the wait: from the director who brought you The Incredibles and Ratatouille, it’s The Iron Giant! This film series, sponsored by Lucia Lighting, will take place every Wednesday in August and admission is only $1!
Admission will be CASH ONLY and available at the door before the screening. No online tickets or reservations will be available for this series.
Maine, 1957. A young boy named Hogarth befriends a massive, but quite innocent, robot that crashed onto Earth. He ends up hiding the robot in a scrapyard owned by Dean, the local beatnik artist. News of something from space landing in Maine reaches the US Government, who sends the paranoid agent Kent Mansley to discover what happened. Hogarth tries to hide his involvement with the robot, while also teaching it about life and human nature.
Rated PG. Run time 1 hour 26 minutes.
