We are in the Midst of a Gender Revolution.

In this two-hour documentary, Katie Couric sets out to explore the rapidly evolving complexities of gender identity.

Gender-related issues are at forefront of the news and political climate recently, and shifts in our understanding of sex and gender and are altering the nature of day-to-day interactions.  This documentary explores big questions like: What is gender identity and how is it different from sex? What is science telling us about genetics, sex and gender? What do you do when your 4-year-old son announces that she is a girl, your husband of 30 years announces that she is a woman or your teenager identifies as neither boy nor girl? How are colleges addressing housing and other historically sex-segretated facilities to be inclusive of trans-identified students?

Newscasting legend Katie Couric takes us on a unique journey – from birth to death – to discover the dynamics of gender.

A discussion will take place after the film. A suggested donation of $5 to cover cost of screening the film and furthering the work of  The Beverly Human Rights Committee and No Place for Hate Salem.
